All homes should be tested.  Not all homes in SW Minnesota will test high for radon.

Advanced Health, Safety and Security will TEST YOUR HOME FOR FREE with a quick 48 hour test with a digital readout and an audible alarm if your radon levels are above 4 pCi/L.

We use the Safety Siren Pro Series 3 Single Station Radon Gas Detector.  This unit will give a reading within 48 hours but is intended to be used as a long term monitoring unit for your home.

The detector samples the radon in the air every 15 minutes and averages those readings over time and displays the average on the red digital readout on the front.

Average cost of the unit to purchase is $129.00. If you would like to purchase your own, please give us a call at 507-763-3606 or email: [email protected], and we will send you one.

There are other types of tests on the market.  Many of these tests require purchasing a kit, placing it in your home for several days and sending the test kit to a lab for analysis for a few more days and a few more dollars.

Other testing can be done with expensive equipment that will cost you anywhere from $50-$150 dollars for the test.  It can be done the same day and give you a print out of the results. Advanced Health, Safety and Security can also provide this testing for $70.00.
